Dan Beeman
Dan has 25 years experience in organizational development and quality management. He has taught numerous management courses and provided consulting services extensively in both private industry and government. Beeman & Associates provides contract consulting and training in performance management, strategic planning, process reengineering and other topics.
Dr. Beeman is an experienced manager in private industry, government and the not-for-prodit sector. He was National Executive Director of Phi Mu Alpha (Professional Music Fraternity) and President of the Professional Fraternity Association. Dan was the Vice President of a $100 million mid-West wholesale manufacturing company. He was Director of Training and Development for a 10,000-employee state agency having a $2.3 million training budget. Dan was Manager of Quality Services and Strategic Planning for the Florida Department of Revenue, the first state agency to win the Governor’s Sterling Quality Award (Florida’s equivalent of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award). He served as a Manager of the Florida Dept. of Revenue program overseeing the ad valorem tax collection on nearly $1 trillion in assessed property value and the training and certification of tax collectors and property appraisers statewide. He has been a Governor’s Sterling Quality Award Senior Examiner and served on or lead five examination teams.
He is the owner of Seminars at Seaâ, a management development/customer recognition company that uses sailing as a vehicle for teaching team building and management. Dan received his Ph.D. from Florida State University in university administration. He is a Coast Guard-licensed Ships Master (Captain) for large sailing and power vessels, a licensed airplane pilot, and horseman.
